excited about technology

technology is advancing great strides every single day. im excited about the future of medicine and that soon we could have cures to some of the worst disease and cancers. that would be nice because i know a lot of people with cancer and it effects everyone around them and they are wonderful people. im also excited about the future of cell phones just because im addicted to mine and addicted to texting. Im a little scared about how far as a society that we might go to obtain perfecting and that with all our advances we could be ruining the equality of our life and world.

genetic enginering

i would personally use genetic enginering for my child in my womb if it had a problem/disease it could end up coming out into the world with. i would want to give my child the best chance he has at a life and if that means altering my baby to make it stronger than i would do it. I would never wat my child to feel like a burden and i would never want my child to feel like its different than everyone else. plus my child could end up doing something great in the world and without the help of genetical enginering it probably would never have been possible before.

weapons of mass destruction

i think that the most problematic wmd in the future will be the chemical warfair because the chemicals cannot always be controled or contained and could eventually be leaked out into the whole entire world and kill everyone off creating a huge disaster! chemicals are also hard to regulate so you dont always know which countries have what and which countries we should be worrying about. its a very scary thing if you think to much about it.

human cloning

human cloning is slowly becoming possible and i think its an interesting debate on whether its ethical or not. i wouldnt use human cloning because i personally do not see the point in it. why would you want to clone yourself. i get why you would want to clone a body part if it was failing but a whole person just seems kinda pointles and a waste of a lot of money. plus how weird would it be to have another you around no matter how cool it may be it would still be weird.

social networking

social networking is becoming more and more dominant at home and in the work place for communication between friends, collegues, and businesses. There are many creepers out there though and even more people waiting to prey on the weak and scam them out of all their money. that's why people must protect themselves by not giving out any personal information and not meeting people they meet online in person. Also people should never willfully give out their socail security number. Be smart people and protect yourself!
